Jennifer Tanck’s background is particularly suited to this niche practice, having focused on tax and securities law both during law school and throughout her professional career. Prior to opening her firm, she served as President and General Counsel of a national financial services company, and prior to that she worked at a Big Four accounting firm as a tax consultant.
In addition, she was licensed as a financial advisor for twelve years and maintained a private wealth management practice, specializing in individual wealth management and retirement plan consulting. Because of her diverse experience, she has a wide-ranging knowledge base concerning tax and financial matters, and specifically those related to the process and complexities of QDRO preparation and pension valuation. Additionally, Jennifer has been qualified as an expert for hearing or trial testimony in multiple jurisdictions since 2016.
Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida and graduated with honors from Stetson University College of Law in 2007. She is a member of the Florida Bar and various civic and professional organizations and was a finalist for the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2012 Tampa Bay Business Woman of the Year.
Sarah Mines

Originally from Buckinghamshire, England, Sarah has been immersed in the legal world for over 20 years. Having built much experience at a provincial law firm, she joined international law firm Denton Wilde Sapte (now SNR Denton) in London in 2000. The following eight years found her heavily involved in a spectrum of law dimensions, from real estate to family law. A decision to switch to SJ Berwin (also in London) in early 2008 brought her deeper into many realms, most notably as a document production specialist. Immigrating to the United States with her husband to Florida in 2011, she soon found her feet in the QDRO business in 2013 and has not looked back since.
Sarah has been a certified paralegal since 2014 (NALA) and holds a Post baccalaureate Certificate in Paralegal Studies from St. Petersburg College. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Computing from a British university.
Lana Wagner, MBA, CFP, CDFA

Lana Wagner has an extensive background and experience in Financial Planning, Retirement Planning and divorce. She has a master’s degree in Business Administration, has been a Certified Financial Planner since 1992, and has been a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst since 1998.
Lana is known throughout the country and has provided national educational programs for attorneys relative to Qualified Domestic Relations Orders and the Finances of Divorce. She has been a speaker for numerous seminars on those topics in the tri-county Tampa Bay area.
In addition to working for the firm, Lana has been preparing QDROs for attorneys throughout the state since 1999. She has worked under the direction of over 400 attorneys throughout Florida and prepared in excess of 2,500 QDROs. She also has extensive knowledge of the tax code, Florida Statutes and case law related to retirement plans in divorce, and has been qualified as an expert in Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties.
